WELCOME TO LOCHHILL. We hope you will enjoy browsing our website and will admire our four high quality self catering cottages and our family equestrian and trekking centre in the heart of South West Scotland.

LOCHHILL is situated on an elevated site with stunning views over unspoilt Galloway countryside. The four cottages are each converted from former farm buildings all of which are of stone construction and are of a high standard. Each has its own garden area and there is a courtyard to the rear which is shared and which has garden furniture and is frequently used for barbeques. Up to TWO pets are welcome at each cottage and the farm land of 73 acres is there to be explored and to walk your pets.

Adjacent to the cottages we have an Equestrian and Trekking Centre for the horse lover. For those pony-mad children we offer lesson, treks and hacks; so that from beginner to experienced can enjoy our beautiful countryside. Also at Lochhill we have a horse and carriage which we take to Kirkcudbright daily during the summer season to take visitors on a tour of this historic town. We make this available for guests who may wish to have a run in our country lanes or even visit a local pub.

We are only 1.25 miles off the main A75 Carlisle to Stranraer road and only 5 miles from the pretty fishing town of Kirkcudbright famous as the Artists' Town and which hosts many exciting events all summer long.

Our area of Dumfries & Galloway has plenty to offer for a quiet relaxing holiday, or for those more active there are many outdoor pursuits to follow. We look forward to meeting you and guarantee you a warm welcome at Lochhill.
